We believe everyone has a role to play in shaping the future of their communities.
We want people inspired to address the most challenging issues we face and equipped with the tools they need to drive progress in a post-COVID era.
Leadership SFV provides a diverse group of leaders with an opportunity to build better and stronger communities and grow their leadership potential in the process.
Leadership SFV provides individuals from business, civic and nonprofit sectors with a framework for engagement in the community. Participants develop a knowledge base and establish relationships with community leaders representing numerous sectors and issues – from health and housing to education and economic development. Local public, private and nonprofit leaders create connections between communities and constituents through a rich, cross-sector curriculum. Leadership SFV develops, engages, empowers, and connects leaders for positive community impact.
Leadership SFV strengthens the community by developing local leaders in expanding their knowledge of the vast resources within the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles region while building meaningful relationships with a skilled cohort of diverse leaders and extending their involvement on behalf of the community.
This 10-month program provides participants a “behind-the-scenes” look at a variety of industries through guided tours throughout the region, including public safety, healthcare, education, manufacturing, government, and more; facilitated workshops with policymakers, regional influencers, and industry experts on the region’s economic and cultural vitality; and an opportunity to conceptualize, design and implement a community impact project.
The next program will begin in January 2023 and conclude in October 2023. The application period for the 2023 class will open on September 20, 2022. Check back on September 20 to apply!
